Kwezal herbowy
Kwezal herbowy (Pharomachrus mocinno) to gatunek ptaka z rodziny trogonów.
Występuje tu wyraźny dymorfizm płciowy. Samiec ma połyskujące upierzenie, zielone z wierzchu, czerwone od spodu. Na głowie pióra są nastroszone. Dziób jest intensywnie żółty. Charakterystyczne są bardzo długie (do 65 cm) pióra pokryw nadogonowych, stanowiące tren.
Samica nie ma trenu i nastroszonych piórek na głowie. Jest zielonkawa.
Gatunek występuje w lasach deszczowych Ameryki Środkowej.
