Znakomity malarz, profesor Józef Pankiewicz, przechadzając się po krakowskich Plantach, spotkał znajomego ziemianina, który niedawno otrzymał tytuł barona. Gdy Pankiewicz podszedł do niego, ten, na powitanie, z wyniosłą miną podał mu jeden palec. A na to artysta:
